O porta-voz do Departamento de Estado dos Estados Unidos,\u00a0Matthew Miller, afirmou nesta ter\u00e7a-feira (20) que o governo norte-americano “discorda” da fala do presidente Luiz In\u00e1cio Lula da Silva (PT) sobre Israel.\u00a0Recentemente, o presidente brasileiro comparou os ataque israelense em Gaza ao Holocausto\u00a0.<\/p>\n

De acordo com Miller,\u00a0“obviamente” os Estados Unidos “discordam” das declara\u00e7\u00f5es. “Fomos bastante claros que n\u00e3o acreditamos que um genoc\u00eddio ocorreu em Gaza. Queremos ver o conflito encerrado quando for poss\u00edvel. Queremos ver aumento de ajuda humanit\u00e1ria para civis em Gaza. Mas n\u00e3o concordamos com esses coment\u00e1rios”.<\/p>\n

O posicionamento do governo dos Estados Unidos surge no dia em que o chefe da\u00a0diplomacia americana, Antony Blinken, chega ao Brasil. O diplomata passar\u00e1 por Bras\u00edlia e depois seguir\u00e1 para a Argentina. Ele dever\u00e1 se reunir com Lula na pr\u00f3xima quarta-feira (21) para que seja realizada uma\u00a0conversa intensa.<\/p>\n
